Glass Alliance New Mexico is pleased to announce that it has reinstated its scholarship program for glass artists who reside and work in New Mexico.
The first $500 scholarship was awarded in March 2020, to Steffen Plistermann. Steffen works out of Prairie Dog Glass and is using the money to hire an assistant to help him create larger blown glass work.
The second $500 scholarship will be granted in November 2020. We will begin accepting applications starting September 1 and closing October 22.
Applicants can be at any point of their glass career, but all must be able to show an aptitude for working with this material and have a body of work that demonstrates their skills and potential to continue to grow in this medium. Scholarships can be used for education such as the Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists, classes, supplies or equipment, and every proposal will be considered.
