This year is the UN-declared International Year of Glass. There are events happening around the world. The official opening ceremony took place in Geneva, and is available online.

• The American Ceramic Society hosted website has information on events and activities taking place in the US and Canada this year, including a link to event and exhibit calendars compiled by the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass.
